Meet Your Mentor

Dylan Sky is a record producer, multi-instrumentalist, and Grammy-nominated engineer based in Los Angeles.

After getting his start in the Brooklyn music scene, he moved to Los Angeles and worked for years as a creative engineer with artists including Beck, Paul McCartney, Phoenix, and artists at all levels of experience.

About

Creative Access is built around an extremely individualized mentor style curriculum. Sessions are available for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists looking to refine their process.

The work can move through many parts of music making: writing, recording, production, arrangement, synthesis, mixing, taste, workflow, and the practical relationship between technical decisions and emotional ones.

The goal is not to turn you into a preset. The goal is to help you build a workflow that supports your own ear, your own instincts, and your own connection to music.

Courses

Courses can include Ableton Live, Pro Tools, analog recording, production, recording fundamentals, mixing concepts, synthesis, songwriting, arrangement, creative workflow, and visual approaches to music-related projects.

Each course is shaped around the student’s goals, taste, experience level, and creative blocks.
